The Russia Revolution and Civil War
Through out the previous ages of Russia's history, the classes have stayed mostly the same. However withthe modernisation of the world and influence on the lower Russian serfs increasing, the white snows of the heartlands would soon turn red.
Revolution
During the turn of the year to 1917, the Russia war effort had become a disaster. The Germans had invaded and taken huge swathes of Russian land while at home the populace starved. Following the teachings of the German philosipher Karl Marx, the Russian people rallied behind the phrase of "Peace, Land and Bread.". With this internal strife and disasters on the front, Russia sues for peace, and recieves it. Fed up with the Tsarist regieme the people force Tsar Nicholas II to step down and install a provisional government made up of a coalition of parties.
Civil War
The provisional government was not to last. Following Lenin and his radical socialist ideals, the Bolsheviks rose to power. This is where the Red Army was formed and got its first taste of battle against the white army of the counter revolutionaries. After a bloody civil war the counter revolutionary leaders were killed or exiled, and Lenin took control of the government.
